Global content

Version 2.3.7.9 ASP.Net 4.0 Full trust

Hi,

The global content of features doesn't work for others except admins. When for example a content editor makes a feauture global the possibilities to edit the feature disappears.

I'm not sure if it has been like this in earlier versions, just discover it now after upgrading.

Re: Global content

Hi Anette, I think the problem is in your security setup. For global content, the editing roles have to be assigned at the feature instance level, not the page level. This is because the feature will appear on multiple pages, so there is no longer a fixed page context to determine allowed editing roles. You can read more about this in the Publishing the Same Content on Multiple Pages document.

Re: Global content

Okej I see, and it is only admins who can make a feature global, right?
