Incomplete Logging in System Log

Hi Joe,

I have just noticed that System Log of 4 sites hosted by a prvider (.NET v4.0.30319 'Partial Trust') contain only partial log. This apparently happens since october 2011 when I upgraded to version 2.3.7.0

The Log file contains the following regcords:

... INFO 2012-02-08 10:17:35,562 INFO 2012-02-08 10:40:44,698 INFO 2012-02-08 10:40:44,698 INFO 2012-02-08 10:40:44,823 INFO 2012-02-08 10:40:44,823 INFO 2012-02-08 10:41:35,257 INFO 2012-02-08 10:41:44,853 INFO 2012-02-08 11:01:41,771 INFO 2012-02-08 11:03:15,409 INFO 2012-02-08 11:24:16,074 INFO ...

Other sites (hosted in full trust) have a normal logging.

The hosing provider gives a poor setting interface for the hosting envirionment therefore I ask you if there is any mojoportal settings that can be verified or changed, to overcome the issue.?

Thanks

Diego

Re: Incomplete Logging in System Log

Hi Diego,

See this old blog post of mine about log4net message truncation for some background on that problem.

You could solve it by changing the pattern as indicated. I'm not sure but possibly it could be also solved by using database logging without changing the pattern.

Hope that helps,

Joe
