Editor stripping www from URL

Hi All,

Really strange behavior I'm seeing. I'm trying to add a link to some text in an HTML module. When I input http://www.datafinder.org/ it keeps changing it to http://datafinder.org/, striping off the www at the beginning. I haven't seen this happen to other domain names, just this one. It doesn't seem to matter what editor I use or if I use WYSIWYG tools or directly edit the HTML. Anyone ever see something similar to this? Found a cause?

Thanks,

John
