Multiple sites on godaddy

hii I've added new website to my godaddy hosted mojoportal with SQL server Created successfully .. Added host name www.test.Mysite.com That subdomain "test.mysite.com" is assigned the root folder of the main site "mysite.com" As I understand when browsing test.mysite.com mojo should handle that by redirecting me to the new site I've created, well that's not happening, it simply takes me to my default site "mysite.com" Any idea? Is there something I miss?? Pls advise

Re: Multiple sites on godaddy

If the sub domain is "test.mysite.com" then why did you put "www.test.mysite.com" for the host name? it should be the same, ie just "test.mysite.com"

Re: Multiple sites on godaddy

i did that with no results, I've even added a new domain. With no change. I guess it's a godaddy issue unless it worked fine with someone else.

Re: Multiple sites on godaddy

Yup.  Just tried Godaddy's new 4GH Web Hosting package with multiple mojoPortal sites.  Only one site can be root, all others must be installed in sub folders.  This new 4GH package is ASP.Net 4.0 - Full Trust.

My first error was...
Web resource '~/etch/Data/Sites/1/skins/artisteer-30flashclouds/script.js' was not found.  It was actually looking in '~/Data...
Yes.  My mojoPortal site is installed in a folder called etch.
Then in site setting my privacy policy read...
http://www.etchitinstone.com/etch/privacy.aspx and the etch could not be changed.
When I clicked on my home page the browser URL showed...
http://www.etchitinstone.com/etch/home.aspx
I could go on and on.
AAAHHHhhhh.........  It just doesn't work for the multiple Website package.  A single Website package would be fine.

I just emailed support and said unless they can make ALL my sites behave like root I would like a refund please.

All my sites are currently on Arvixe which is fine, I am just performance comparison shopping.

Re: Multiple sites on godaddy

Just to update my post above on Godaddy multiple site hosting from sub folders.  First I want to say I don't consider this a bug in mojoPortal.  I searched and found this post and replied to it not realizing it was in the "Report Bugs" section of the forum.

Godaddy has now replied to my Support Ticket about me wanting all my sites behave as root.  They say their current package configuration can not do this and will provide me with a refund.  End of story.
