approval process for new users

if approval is enabled, the user after registration is automatically logged in. not being approved, he just won't be able to login only after he logs off for the first time. otherwise he will be able to use all the features of the site that requires the user to be registered.

though still it's a nice idea to allow the user to change his profile even thought he is not yet approved.

Re: approval process for new users

Hi,

Thanks for the bug report I have now fixed that. However, please keep in mind this feature currently only exists in my developer sandbox branch in the source code repository. Other developers should not be working from my sandbox, when I feel the code in my sandbox is stable then I merge it to the default branch and the default branch is what other developers should be using. For example I have made several changes to the upgrade script for 2.3.6.1 but if you already got my code and ran that script it will not run again and your database will not be correct if you ran it and then I made changes to it after that. So it is best to stick with the default branch from the source code repository. In this case you did help me see a problem that I had not noticed but in general I may have unfinished and unstable work in my sandbox and it should not be reported as bugs. Problems in the default branch can be reported as bugs since that branch is intended to be stable.

Best,

Joe
