'Add File...' button in Shared Folders feature does not work

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

'Add File...' button in Shared Folders feature does not work

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Log into the mojoPortal Demo site.
  2. Click 'Shared Files' in the main menu.*
  3. Note that the 'Add File..' button has a red "x" and is not clickable (no URL in status bar)

-or-

  1. Log into a mojoPortal database** as administrator.
  2. Create a new page.
  3. Add the Shared Files feature to the page.
  4. Edit the Shared Files feature (to add/upload a file)
  5. Error is the same as in step #3 above.

*Added 12/8/2010.

**Version 2.3.5.5 on Windows 7 64-bit.

Sorry but I'm not able to validate the problem you report. I just tested the shared files feature on the demo site and it worked as expected and uploaded the file.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In Admin mode, open a Shared Files page.
  2. Hover the mouse anywhere over the 'Upload' button; cursor changes to a hand.
  3. Hover the mouse over the 'Add File...' button; cursor does not change.
  4. Move mouse slowly left or right (depends on the skin); hand appears when cursor is near the edge of the 'Add File...' button. I suspect there is a hidden image there.

On my Windows 7 x64 computer on which I am also running the browser, a red "x" (missing image) appears over the 'Add File...' button and renders the button inoperable.
