Advertisements - Extra sidebar content

Hello.

While the Extra sideBar content option for the Blog module is nice, imho is it not complete.

The best conversion (from ads) is done not in the sides. It is done putting an ad AFTER the 1st Blog or Forum post. And to catch people leaving one ad block at the end just before the paging.

Right now you can enable a HTML page at the end of a Blog page BUT if you have comments enabled, the ads show AFTER the comments.

Not sure if ALL the above could be done, but at least an option for some ad space after the 1st blog post or 1st post of a forum topic could tremendously help.

Thanks

Costas

Re: Advertisements - Extra sidebar content

Maybe something like that

1. textbox to contain the AdSense text

2. "display starting after post ___" - the first block of ads would display after post X (ie. the third post)

3. "repeat every ___ posts" - the adsense text would be re-displayed in between the posts every X number of posts

thanks

Re: Advertisements - Extra sidebar content

You could create content templates containing ad code like for google ads, then you can easily add them wherever you like right in your blog post after the first paragraph or wherever.

Re: Advertisements - Extra sidebar content

you cannot currently put things in between posts but you can put ads directly in your post anywhere you like. If you make a content template with the google ad code for example then you can choose the template from the editor and insert it in a post very easily. see

and watch the video about the content templates here:

Best,
