This is the place to report bugs and get support. When posting in this forum, please always provide as much detail as possible.
Please do not report problems with a custom build or custom code in this forum. If you are producing your own build from the source code and have problems or questions, ask in the developer forum, do not report it as a bug.
When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:
I have linked to some word docx and powerpoint pptx files which i uploaded using the file manager. But on the html content module when i link to the files and then save I click the link and keep getting the page not found error.
It links fine if it is a .doc file or .ppt file but it's only the .docx and .pptx files that give the error.
What could be wrong?
This is not necessarily a mojoPortal issue. I've seen this before on other (non-mojo) sites as well.
Matt is correct, this isn't necessarily a mojoPortal issue. The issue is with your web server configuration. You need to enable MIME types for the docx and pptx files. You can read more about this here: http://sensisbledefault.wordpress.com/2007/03/05/office-2007-iis-6-mime-types-docx-pptx-xlsx/.
If you do not have access to do this, you will have to ask your host to add the Office 2007 Document Types as MIME types in their webserver configuration.
Brilliant! That did the job!
Thanks very much for both of your support on this.
