Issues with installation migration

MSSQL05, Mojo version 2.3.2.7

Hey Joe -

Today we moved our Mojo installation from our staging environment to live.  The DB was successfully migrated, and I thought the installation was too.  I can move through the site with no problems whatsoever.  Until I try to edit any HTML content on the site.  When I do that, the editor window loads fine, and I can write the new content no problem, but when I hit 'update' it hangs for 2-3 minutes, then throws the following 2 errors in the logs, one right after the other.

I may wind up just having to try a fresh install of the latest version of Mojo, but wanted to see if you had encountered this before, and if so, if you had any advice on how to handle it.  Thanks!

Re: Issues with installation migration

I would delete all rows from mp_IndexingQueue and mp_TaskQueue, then recycle the app by touching web.config

There are some notes here that may also help.

http://www.mojoportal.com/moving-an-installation-of-mojoportal-to-a-different-server.aspx

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Issues with installation migration

Joe,

I work with Kevin and I just tried clearing those two tables, deleting the systemfiles, and restarting mojo.  I am still receiving the error.  We followed all of the other steps in the migration process you linked out to.  The errors kevin posted are in the event log and the following is displayed in the browser:

Unable to generate a temporary class (result=1).
error CS2001: Source file 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\izxc9xzp.0.cs' could not be found
error CS2008: No inputs specified

The content is still saving and if you refresh the page when the above error is displayed it reloads with no problem.

Re: Issues with installation migration

Hi,

I thinks it is a security issue. Some time ago I had the same problem, when I contact my hosting provider , they tell me that your application user must have read/write right to temp folder of hosting machine. Since when I live a new site contact they to give the right to my site.

Hope Helps

Re: Issues with installation migration

Asad,

That was it!!  I added permissions to the temp directory and the error is now gone.  Thanks for your help!!
