You could put an image in the Excerpt of each blog post then show excerpts in the feed manager and this will show the image as part of the excerpt. If you have a fixed set of images like for categories, you could create content templates containing the images so it is very easy to add them. Like I created a content template with the twitter and facebook images and it makes it easy to add that to the bottom of my blog posts.
