Features are disabled on Production

Features are disabled on Production

Hi Joe

I am facing weird problem like

1. In localhost i am able to add the features like blog, image gallery, forums etc,
but on production when i create the page and added the above features it show the error page.

2. In site setting page Features and webpart Tabs are hided.

3. Delete button is disabled in Site setting page

we have published and deployed Web folder in production, Its working fine other than above features

Plz help me

Hi  Dhanraj,

What is your version of mojoPortal? What is your OS,Web Server and database server?

Do you setup your database on db server by backup/sestore or by visiting setup page of mojoPortal?

This error happen in root site or in sub site?

By having answers for this question we may help you.

2.3.1.0 MSSQL.  The error in Root site, XP Professional,

I think the problem of Features is deployed we have published only web folder for production.

We are now publishing the complete mojo solutions. Is this is right process with Unleashed Tools )

Please help me in these

Hi,

No. You needs publish only web forlder after a rebuil all solution. Please see deployment for windows and masks in that pages to deployment profile on Unleash It then deploy just web folder in a new location(d:\MyWeb) , create a virtual directory(MySite) in you local web server for  this location, then create a database on your local database server , then visit MySite/Setup/default.aspx to setup your database.Then check it if you can this error please inform me, if not  you can upload that folder(MyWeb) on your Production server.

We have already published to production, every thing is working fine but i cannot add the blog, forum, polls features in production is there any settings.

Is we are going add the features.UI folder in production

 No, When you rebuil Solution the features are copyed to web folder. Do you see all feature in the feature combox when you want to add a blog feature to for example on a page?

Hi

Yes i will see the feature name in dropdown but when i insert in page and view the page it will show the error page.

I think publishing from the VS studio and copying to developement / Production will not copy all the features. Now i will try to publish by Unleash and deploy to development server. is this correct process?

2. I cannot see the feature & Webpart tab in root site .

3. I cannot see the delet button for Child site, Is there any setting in web.config for delete the child site button
