Notify emails in forums not working

Joe,

I've added forums to some test sites and registered a couple of test users on each of the sites.  I've checked the "Notify?" box at the top level of all forums for the users I added.  However, when I post to the forums, none of the users receive the email notifications that something was posted.  I waited 24-48 hours and the notification emails never showed in the inboxes or junk mail boxes.  Any ideas?  Could I be missing a script in my installation that handles a notification queue query?  I don't get any site errors, I just never get the emails.  However, my "Contact" form works fine so it doesn't appear to be a mail issue.

Also, when I reply to a specific thread, I do not see the check box option "Notify of Replies" for that thread (like this site currently has).  I searched but didn't notice a setting for this feature.

OS: Windows

DB: MSSQL 2000

Version: 2.3.1.5 MSSQL

Thanks,

Mike
