Web Store Bug - Inventory not being updated

  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

Web Store Bug - Inventory not being updated

Hello Joe,

I recently started experimenting with the web store and noticed that:

- I have added a product to the Product Inventory with qty of 1.

- I then added the same product to the Offer Administration with qty of 1

- I setup my paypal sandbox settings and made a purchase

- I was hoping it was going to update the inventory and remove the product since the quantity was only 1.

- I logged in as another user and was able to complete another purchase for the same product even though the quantity was set for 1.

 

Is this a normal behavior?

Its just not implemented yet. I will be implemented as part of impplementing support for shippable products. Right now we really don't support shippable products unless you can bundle a single shipping price for everyone into the product price. So we need to impement shipping calculations and inventory tracking and other things that relate to physical products. Right now we support download products well and there is no real inventory issue with downloads.

So its not really a bug, its just a not yet implemented feature. The WebStore is pretty basic and still in its early stages of development.
