Contact Form details not in generated message

Contact Form

User provided name and email address are not included in generated email.  I would expect these details to appear along with the user's message in the body of the message, or possibly as the sender of the message.

Is this a configuration issue or bug maybe?

Thanks,

Jim

Re: Contact Form details not in generated message

Hi Jim,

Its a good point, I fixed it today so that the sender email and name will be appended into the begining of the message.

Unfortunately is not the best idea to use the entered email as the sender or from address for the mail message as that can appear as email spoofing and trigger spam filters, so really we can only send mail from the site using our own email account as the sender. I do populate the "replyto" of the mail message with the email entered so in siome email clients (but not all) if you click the reply button it will reply to that address and not the sender.

I had actually already added the user email into the body since the last release but had not added the name to the body.

A new release with this fix is coming very soon.

Best,

Joe
