SHared Files Feature Bug - Duplicates document when pressing browser back button

In a shared files feature, a document (looks like just the database entry) gets duplicated when going thru following steps:

(1) Upload a pdf document

(2) Right after uploading, click document name to view it.

(3) Pdf file opens in same browser window

(4) When pressing the browser back button to get back to the mojoportal a browser error appears about POSTDATA

(5) The shared files feature page displays, but now with two entries for the document, one is the original document, the second entry is just the metadata (I believe, I haven't checked)

(6) To clean up, both documents have to be deleted and the original has to be uploaded again. This behaviour makes that bug quite bad since users could easily damage files on the system.

I couldn't reproduce the bug without folowing the exact steps as above.

Hi,

By chance are you using IE8? Can you produce the problem in other browsers?

There was previously reported some issues in Shared Files using IE 8 here. Where events would fire more than once. This particular issue has been fixed in NeatUpload and will be fixed in the next release of mojoportal. In the mean time it can be worked around using IE8 compatibility mode.

If you are not using IE8 or can produce this issue in other browsers please let me know and I will investigate.

No, I use Mozilla. I'll investigate more next when when back at work. I'll open a new thread if I find anything.

I was able to produce the problem and fix it so it will be fixed in the next release.
