Delay Time in static file pubblication

Hi Joe, we found that with the new version 2.2.7.8 when you change something in the CSS file and then publish it by FTP when you refresh the page also if you have cleared the IE cache you cannot see the new setting. There is a delay of 15 minutes from the pubblication and the visualization by browser of the changing. We tryied to change time parameter of caching  in the web.config. We asked to the hosting provider to take a look to the IIS cache setting. But we still have the problem. Do you have any news about this problem?

Thank you

Re: Delay Time in static file pubblication

The css is cached both in the browser and on the server. To clear the server cache just touch Web.config by typing a space in it and saving it. This will recycle the app and clear the cache.

To clear the IE browser cache I find sometimes it does not clear the cache if the page is still current in your browser. If you navigate somewhere else like google then clear your cache then come back to the mojo site and it will really be cleared.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Changing the web.config works but there's something we can do more fixed?

Re: Delay Time in static file pubblication

Its working correctly as it was designed to already, its not broken. CSS files are changed infrequently so it seems quite a good idea to cache it and touching Web.config after you make skin changes seems reasonable to me since it is an infrequent thing.

Best,

Joe

Re: Delay Time in static file pubblication

Yes it is right. It's just becouse we are configured to change skinning on line, we will manage to work off line.

Thank You
