Blog Calender bug

Hey,

Noticed something wierd happening when using the calender in the blog.

When i click on any date on the calender, a site menu shows up on the left hand side, even though i specified not showing child bread crubs.

Re: Blog Calender bug

Hi,

This isn't hppening on my blog. You're going to have to provide more info about how to produce the problem.

Menu and bread crumbs are 2 different things so please be specific when describing the problem. I don't know if you are seeing a menu or breadcrumbs from what you have said. It sounds like you are seeing a menu, but menu is not supposed to be affected by breadcrumb settings.

If there are child pages beneath your blog page it is normal for a menu to appear when you are in the blog.

Best,

Joe

Re: Blog Calender bug

Ok,

Maybe i'm mistaking regular behaviour for something weird

Here are the before and after pics of the situation.

Before clicking a date

After clicking a date

What looks like a menu appears on the left hand side. It's just that it has the same pages as the main tab menu.

Is this a normal behaviour?

Re: Blog Calender bug

Yes, it looks like a menu but I reallly can't tell much from the screen shot. If it showed the url bar I might notice if params weren't passed corrrectly, but all I can tell from the images is that something isn't quite right.

My first line of investigation would be to suspect a problem related to your skin. I would switch and try some different skins and see if the problem happens using other skins or only this one.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Blog Calender bug

I'm confused, this thread started out about a calendar bug in the blog, but the screen shot is clearly a forum issue. I thought this forum bug was fixed in the last release but not entirely sure, I'm sure its already fixed at least in svn trunk. What version of mojoportal are you using?

Re: Blog Calender bug

My humblest apologies Joe

Here is the right screen shot of the URL bar for the blog

Re: Blog Calender bug

I don't see anything unusual in the url. I've tried to replicate this problem on my local machine but haven't been able to.

Best,

Joe
