Form Wizard Pro Notifications Fail

  • Windows 7 / Windows 2008 R2 SP2, 64-bit
  • IIS7
  • PostgreSQL version 9.2.3, 64-bit
  • .NET 4.0
  • mojoPortal 2.3.9.8
  • Form Wizard Pro 2.6.1.1

Our installation of Form Wizard Pro will not send notification e-mail. There are no entries for it in the System Log.

The e-mail server is one of our own servers. Its only limits we know of is anti-SPAM setting to limit e-mail counts to 250 per batch.

The newsletter module successfully mails newsletters, with web.config set to batches of 200, then a 1-minute delay.

I have been unable to determine if there is a setting that I am missing. I was using the Autogenerated Template. So I also created a new template with the "#FormData" token. Notification is still not sent.

I set the notification e-mail to our HR Officer (the form is for on-line job applications). I also tried it set to my work address. Then I tried it set to my personal address (outside the domain). No notifications in any setting.

Notification settings:

  • Enable SPAM Blocking: No
BTW, this does not work, either. When set, capcha still does not show.
  • Pre-Validate the Form? Yes
Funny-- When disabled, no asterisks show for required fields.
When enabled, radio-button fields do not show asterisks until after the Submit button is clicked.
  • Enable Regular Expressions Validation of Text Questions? No
  • Custom CSS Class: <blank>
  • Override Submit Button Text: #FormData
  • Results Grid Page Size: 10 (default)
  • Form Submit Analytics Tracking Url: <blank>
  • Submission Event Hander: DoNothingFormSubmissionHandler (Only option, default)
  • Enable Per Question CSS Classes? Yes
  • Enable Question Aliases? Yes
  • Enable Option Aliases? No
  • Flatten Pages As Groups? Yes
  • Force Scroll To Top After Submit? No
  • Url to redirect to after form completion: <blank>

Re: Form Wizard Pro Notifications Fail

Joe,

Don't jump on this just yet.

It was delayed, but I DID receive the notification to my personal e-mail account, outside of our network. So let me ask our mail server guy about that.

Re: Form Wizard Pro Notifications Fail

Note that someone else reported a problem about email notification not working when the the form has file attachments. Upgrading to the latest version of mojoPortal and  Form Wizard solved the problem for him.

Re: Form Wizard Pro Notifications Fail

Thanks.

On further searching, I found what you mentioned. When I tested more, that was it. Notifications working without attachments. Failing with an attachment.

We were already at v. 2.3.9.9 for the portal, but the Wiz Pro module is 2.6.1.1. So we'll get that downloaded.
