How will translators work when Amanuens goes offline?

Amanuens put a blog post announcing they will discontinue the service on July 31.

As sad as it is seeing such a useful service go down, I'd like to know how are going to keep our translations updated.

Yes, we found out about that earlier this month via an Amanuens newsletter that went out.

Going forward, the way to update and create translations is to email the files directly to Joe Audette (joe dot audette [@] g mail dotcom). See the Translating mojoPortal document for further information.

What version of the resource files should we translate? The current release or the development version?

Not that I know of. It will be difficult to have multiple people working on the same translation but we can still have one person maintaining each translation and emailing me the updated files.

Best,

Joe

Hi German,

Sorry for the delayed response, just now looking at Transifex. Doesn't look like they have any integration/syncing with Mercurial source code repositories (or any others) but it still might be a potential replacement, I'll investigate further. Thanks for posting this.

Best,

Joe
