User time zone does not match site timezone

We have noticed that when creating a User, the time zone is always defaulted to International Dateline West. It seems that it should set itself to the website's time zone. Since this actually effects time stamping and calendar times/dates for User entries it's a bit of a problem.

It seems to be difficult and inefficient for administrators to remember to edit the User's Profile after the User has been created, since you cannot set the time zone when initially creating the user.

Can this be corrected?

Thanks

Tim

Re: User time zone does not match site timezone

Hi Tim,

Default time zone comes from site time zone. Set it in administration under site settings.

Hope Helps

Re: User time zone does not match site timezone

Hi Tim,

That is a good suggestion. I just fixed it in my copy so that when new users are created from there they get the TimeZoneId from site settings.

So this will be fixed in the next release which will ship in the next few weeks.

Best,

Joe
