Layout changed on upgrading

Joe

I've just upgraded my site http://www.stevensonway.org.uk/home.aspx from 2.3.6.2 to 2.3.8.5 and have a couple of issues:

1. The bullet points have disappeared e.g in Latest News

2. The layout on the Home page has some minor issues:

2.1 The top frame is encroaching on the frame below (Latest News is overlapped)

2.2 The Stats frame is overlapped by the left hand frame.

Any ideas as to why this has happened and what I can do?

The site is hosted on Arvixe. Uses MS SQL.

Many thanks,

Ian Logan

Re: Layout changed on upgrading

Hi Ian,

First thing to do is to apply all of the changes listed in the article Important Skin Changes

After making any css changes, go to Administration > Advanced Tools > Design Tools > Cache Tool and click the button to reset the skin guid, that will make sure all browsers reload the css even if they had previously cached it.

That "should" solve any problems but if any remain after that we'll try to help.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Layout changed on upgrading

Joe

I've gone through the Skin Changes document but am having great trouble in identifying what I need to change and which files need changing. The site was installed on 17/02/2011 and I am using an Artiseer-13 template.

I think the section I need to add is the one mentioned here: We revamped the PageLayout.aspx page and it needs this new css

However I can only find 1 minor difference in the PageLayout.aspx and I have no idea what new css file is required. It's all a bit vague (probably OK for experts though).

Your advice would be appreciated as I need to get this fixed by Sat 14th.

Kind Regards

Ian
