Unrecognized configuration section 'xhtmlConformance'

Hey Joe, me again :-) I finally went back to a dedicated server to run my page(s). Now I tried to install MP for one domain and receive the following server error:
Parser Error Message: Unrecognized configuration section 'xhtmlConformance' Line 326: Line 327: Line 328: Line 329: Line 330:
Commenting this out leads to more errors of the same kind, so I suspect this is actually allright. All I did was copying the file to the website's root folder and changed the connection string to the proper settings. Additionally I changed the folder permissions for the IIS and network service user. What did I do wrong?

Re: Unrecognized configuration section 'xhtmlConformance'

Sounds like your site is configured for 1.1 .NET, it needs to be configured for 2.0 .NET

Hope it helps,

Joe
