How to limit content shown on Home Page?

How to limit content shown on Home Page?

Hi,

I have created several Content Pages which are then (in order) shown on the Home Page.  They are also on a History type page.

I would like to limit the number of rows/chars/??? when the content is inserted into the Home Page with a "read more..." link at the end which points to the complete content on another page?

See www.AllIslander.com Home page then look under the Home Menu item and you will see the full articles there!

Is this possible?  (Just like to Blog & Forum articles!)
