Re: Site Editor Permissions for multi-site installations

I am able to replicate the problem about the access denied in the File Manager dialog, that page is not allowing access unless in the delete roles, I'll fix that.

Best,

Joe

When you change roles for file delete permission are you logged in as an administrator?

Re: Site Editor Permissions for multi-site installations

Yes, I change the Site Site Settings (and all things SiteID1) as an Administrator.  I then log in to my child sites as a Site Editor to test out the permissions. ~ B

Re: Site Editor Permissions for multi-site installations

But if you want the permissions to be different in the child site you need to login to the child site as admin and change them. Oh I guess you are changing them from the admin site after choosing the child site from site list, that should work too.

Yes, I'm altering the permissions for the child site from the Site List -> Site Settings in my mojo Parent site - SiteID1.

Re: Site Editor Permissions for multi-site installations

Ok, I'm able to replicate that so I can fix it. For now try going to the child site as admin and do it from site settings there and see if it works for you.

Best,

Joe

Re: Site Editor Permissions for multi-site installations

Morning,

I logged into the Child site with my Administrator account, went to site settings and enabled deleting in the file browser from the child site.  Restarted the app pools for both parent and child site and the permissions now show on the parent site Site Settings so when I log into a different child site altogether I still have file manager access.  Long story short, it didn't work.

Cheers,

Beth
