If you are logged in as Admin, you should be able to upload an image using the FCKeditor.
- Click the Image toolbar icon
- In the window that opens click the Browse Server button
- At the bottom of the window, click the Browse button to find the image on your computer
- click the Upload button
- after the image uploads, select the uploaded image to put it in your content
The only needed configuration is that the Data folder beneath the root of the web (and all its files and subfolders) are writable by the web process.
