I changed a site setting to not allow users to register.  Now, I can't log in as myself anymore.  Not even for site administration.  Anyone know where the setting is so that I can change it back?

Thanks

Jeff

Re: Log in

Hi Jeff,

What setting did you change (& did you make the change via admin settings or editing a file etc)?

Re: Log in

I have the site installed on my desktop.  I haven't changed the default admin account (admin@admin.com) yet.  I went to a screen as the admin and unchecked the first two boxes on the screen.  Unfortunately, not that I changed them, I can't log in to see the screen again.  They had something to do with not allowing users to register.  I wish I could give you more, but I'm locked out, so I can't see anything.

I tried copying the original site over he one I am playing with, but it didn't change anything.  I am assuming that whatever it is I changed is stored in the DB.  I'm going to try to rebuild the DB to see if that will fix it.

Re: Log in

Hi Jeff,

What do you mean you can't login? Do you mean there is no login link visible or do you mean it fails when you try to login?

Have you tried navigating directly to /Secure/Login.aspx ?

Best,

Joe

Re: Log in

I figured it out.  I changed the use email address to sign in setting.  I was trying to use admin@admin.com as the username.  I should have switched to just plain admin.

Thanks.
