Location of Sitemap on Subdomain

I have a website let's call it mainsite.com.  Under that I have a subdomain called rentals.mainsite.com.

The rentals.mainsite.com has the mojoportal files installed and it runs fine except I cannot seem to figure out what the correct url for the sitemap for the mojoportal site should be.  I need this to use with Google Webmaster Tools.

I have tried:

rentals.mainsite.com/sitemap.axd

rentals.mainsite.com/sitemap.ashx

rentals.mainsite.com/sitemap.aspx

www.mainsite.com/rentals/sitemap.ashx

www.mainsite.com/rentals/sitemap.aspx

www.mainsite.com/rentals/sitemap.axd

when I try to browse to rentals.mainsite.com/sitemap.axd or ashx I get a 404 error.

What am I doing wrong?

Dan

Re: Location of Sitemap on Subdomain

If mojoportal is installed as a root level IIS web site it should work with

http://rentals.mainsite.com/SiteMap.ashx

but if you have some kind of funky url forwarding or masking or other weird configurations like GoDaddy offers such that the site is really installed as a sub directory/virtual directory beneath a root level IIS site but they somehow make it seem like a root level site all bets are off and I don't even expect mojoportal to work correctly under those kinds of setups.

Hope that helps,
