Subdomain and Google Webmaster Tools

I have mojoportal installed under a subdomain called "rentals" so the ip address is rentals.domain.com

The folder containing the mojoportal files is named ourrentals

I am trying to use Google Webmaster Tools but evidently I am not defining the sitemap location correctly,.

When I submit the sitemap I get an error that the web page can not be found.

I have tried several variations.

"/ourrentals/sitemap.ashx"

"/sitemap.ashx"

I have set up two separate sites for google to report upon 1) www.domain.com, 2) rentals.domain.com

since www.domain.com is not a mojoportal site I have defined the sitemap as sitemap.axd and that works.  But that is the only sitemap that works.

when I try to browse to rentals.domain.com/sitemap.ashx I get a 404 error.
