Help with Design Skin from Artisteer

Hi All,

Pls i need help with this skin "5th Season" from Artisteer.

I've tried customising it, but still, no image shows, and it's still left aligned in the browser.

It's originally a 2-column skin, but i changed it to 3-column, but still, it doesnt appear well.

Hi knight

Here you go. I did the skin conversion for you.  Download it here.

http://www.hubka.com/art-30-59.zip

Please compare my layout.master to yours so you can see what I did.

Enjoy.

Re: Help with Design Skin from Artisteer

Thanks rick.

But it still appears the same here.

I used the skin "art-30-59" in your zipped file.

What could I be doing wrong.

Re: Help with Design Skin from Artisteer

Hi Rick,

I downloaded the latest version of mojoportal just now,

and the skin you sent is working fine now.

Thanks so much.

I really wish I knew how to customize the skins successfully also.

Will spend more time on the documentation, and hopefully, I'd get the hang of it very well.

Re: Help with Design Skin from Artisteer

Hi knight

I really wish I knew how to customize the skins successfully also.

Glad you got it working.  What version of mojoPortal are you on was going to be my first question.

Do many things need to stay in sync in Web application development.

In mojoPortal Joe has to deal with:

The Dot.Net framework version
Several database vendor versions
Several Web Browsers
Several 3rd party add-ons (editors, uploading, etc.)
Artisteer (V3.1 is in beta2 and allows menu in headers,  yikes!)
Ajax and jQuery.
Joe's cool store features.
The list goes on and this is true for all Open Source CMS's

Anyone of these factors can cause problems and Joe does an amazing job keeping each mojoPortal version in sync.

However as mojoPortal continues to evolve with the Webs cutting edge technology, it is up to us (the users) to keep our skins compatible with whatever version of mojoPortal we run.  There is a sticky post here that helps.  Understanding CSS is key and I have not yet mastered CSS myself.  I'd also like to learn jQuery better.

I'm starting to ramble on now so I'll stop. blush

Take Care
