Categories in Blogtext

Hello everybody!

We're developing a new Website with MojoPortal and everything works fine. The website is based on the blogmodule and the forum. In the Blogmodule we need to show the categories, to witch the entries belong.

For example:

Blogtitle [...]
posted by [...] on [...]
posted in Categories....

Blogtext [...]

Comments [...]

Is there a solution for this? We can't find any :(

Hi,

It is a planned feature. The main thing holding it up is that we plan to first build a new category subsystem that can be used across different features not just in the blog, then we will replace the existing blog category implementation with the new subsystem and then we will implement better presentation of categories. We need categories in lots of other features like WebStore, Event Calendar Pro, Image Gallery etc and we don't want to implement it over and over so we have a plan for a common subsystem to be used for all features that need categories.

Still another question: i've seen the categories as a tagcloud in the blognav. How can I realise this?

Hi,

For the tagcloud, you need to enable the "Use Tag Cloud For Categories" option under Navigation Settings in the Blog Settings.

We are also interested in Categories.  Specifically for Events Calendar Pro.  We would like to be able to show a filtered list of events by category.  Do you have a ballpark timeline for the feature?  Thanks!

It is a planned improvement but I don't have a target date. Most likely within 3-6 months.
