Automatic Drop Down Menus in 2.3.6.7 ???

We've always used CSS to control our drop down menu functionality in mojoPortal... but in the new release, it seems like there is some code being generated somewhere that automatically handles this.

For example, drop-down menus now "linger" for a brief moment before disappearing. Also, we normally use "TopLevelOnly=false" for the SiteMenu, but then hide third-level menus w/ CSS... but this new code overrides our CSS.

How can we disable these auto drop downs in 2.3.6.7?  PLEASE tell me there is an easy solution!!

As always, thanks for the help....

Re: Automatic Drop Down Menus in 2.3.6.7 ???

Hi Nicholas,

I have no idea what you are talking about, nothing changed in the menus in 2.3.6.7 that I know of. Perhaps if you post a link to the site then someone could help.

Are you using a Superfish menu? It has that kind of effect by design but its not new.

Did you change from .NET 3.5 to .NET 4 as part of your upgrade? What version did you upgrade from? If so you might want to review the article The Trouble with ASP.NET Menu, you might also want to review the sticky thread of important skin changes.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Automatic Drop Down Menus in 2.3.6.7 ???

Thanks for the insight Joe... Your article on the ASP.NET menu troubles saved the day.

I didn't realize that right around the same time we switched to 2.3.6.7, our machines were upgraded to ASP.NET 4.0. The javascript/inline styles were messing up the works.

I'm now forcing the menu to use Net35Mode via theme.skin... working great now!

Thanks again,

--- Nicholas
