The only objection is that SampleExternalModule is very simple. It is very easy to see how it works on this example, so I vote for its existance.
But in my opinion it needs some improvement: adding localizable resource file with its strings and update postbuild event to copy it to right destanation. When I just began writing custom modules it was the first thing I had to deal with.
I've been thinking of deleting that one since WebStore.sln has a more complete example. Any objection to deleting it?
SampleExternalModule project is stored in svn but excluded from the solution. Is that done by mistake?
P.S. As there is no special issue tracking system, I just add messages like above to show that the issue is closed.
