Email File Button

Hey Everyone,

I've finally decided that it's time to get a company intranet going where I work. One of the main reasons why I think our company needs one is the fact that often times we come out with documentation and store it in a shared folder that everyone uses.

But then a change is made with that document and we find out that people are not using the updated file but rather a local copy that they made when the initial email went out, saying where the document is located.

On top of that, our staff will then email the old documentation to our clients and it becomes a huge mess.

What I'm looking for is a way in the shared file grid, or anywhere where I may upload a file, to have a button/link that allows the user to click, enter in an email address they are sending to, a subject, and a simple text body. From there, the email will go out using the mojoportal email settings.

If there is already a function that allows for this, that would be great. Otherwise, if someone could tell me what files/functions I can look at to modify, that would be greatly appreciated.

I think having the function built into the website would ensure that people don't keep a local copy as they could send any documentation directly from the intranet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If someone has come up with a better procedure that works for them, feel free to express how you overcame this irritating issue!
