Pages being redirected

Hi,

A couple pages I created on a new site are being directed.

This page end up at history.aspx

http://mimr.dfine.com.au/advisory-board.aspx

and a page from the main navigation end up at students.aspx

http://mimr.dfine.com.au/facilities.aspx

To get the top navigation to work I have created items in the menu eg: About Us, created all the children, then checked the Show in Menu option off for About Us. This technique worked without a problem on my development machine and on the other two top nav menu items Careers and News & Publications. I have deleted and re-created the About Us menu twice. The first time sub-menu pages were being re-directed, now only one.

Any tips or advice appreciated. I can delete some entries in the database and start again if required. Just not sure where to start.

Thanks,
Leah

Re: Pages being redirected

Hi Leah,

When you rename a page or change its url, mojoPortal tries to help you with SEO by creating a 301 redirect from the old url to the new one. However if you are naming things back and forth it can generate some redirects that you may not want. You can find these and remove them under Administration > Advanced Tools > 301 Redirect Manager

Hope that helps,

Joe

Fixed!

Thanks so much for your quick response. We have a presentation to the client today.

We have completed another couple sites with MojoPortal this year too. Easy to use, thanks Joe!
