How to use mojoportal to login to a different web application hosted in the sam db same server

My plan to use mojoportal as coparate web site and give login section to login to another web application. I want to validate it in mojoportal and redirect it to the other web application (web site) default page. I can make it validate and create an authentication ticket in mojoportal for the other web application. I have full control for the other web App. what is the easy way of doing it?I was thinking of using same feature login for the mojoportal? Other web app login user name not uses email address .It wont allow users to use  @ sign by that I can differentiate the user Id. Can you please direct me on this.

Thank you

Prasanga
