Sign in issues when using folders for Multiple Sites

Essentially what I'm attempting to accomplish is to allow multiple sites to be set up underneath one parent site by using the folder name as the url. I followed the guide here: http://www.mojoportal.com/multiplesitesbasedonfoldernames.aspx and all went well until step 3 where I had to "UseFoldersInsteadOfHostnamesForMultipleSites="true"". Once I modify the web.config file to show true it no longer allows me as the administrator to sign in, and when I do try to sign in it just redirects me back to the default page. As soon as I return the value to false everything goes back to operating as usual. I am completely stumped as to what the issue is here. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks

Re: Sign in issues when using folders for Multiple Sites

Have you updated the admin account in the root site with your own email address yet?

Are you using Related Sites Mode?

If not then you would have to login to the child site using admin@admin.com since it would get a new administrator in the child site. You could then update that admin user with your own email address after logging in.

Hope that helps,

Joe
