cant install win7

When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

You may also want to review the installation or upgrading documentation.

cant install win7

when i try install via the web installer I get an error 'unable to download from product list.....check your internet connection.'

 

I have windows 7 and there is nothing wrong with my internet.

what can i do to install.

I would make sure you have installed the newest version of Platform Installer and check your firewall settings which may be blocking it from accessing the internet.

err I couldnt download the windows installer as I got the same error.

I also tried on another computer which didnt give an error but took over an hour to install before i got fed up and turned it off.

sorry to hear you are having these difficulties. I'm not the developer of the Platform Installer so I really cannot help much. It sounds like your firewall or maybe anti virus is interfering with things and preventing the download.

As long as you are able to install .NET 4 and SQL Express using the Platform Installer, then manual installation of mojoPortal after that is not very difficult.
