Form Wizard Pro Variables

Hi

This is probably a question for Joe (as Form Wizard Pro is closed code) but does anyone know if it is possible to pass some text to the Form Wizard Pro feature?

A client wants to have a very simply Job Application form and they would like to pass the Job Title that is being applied for to the Form but I can't see if this is possible.

Regards

Mark Donne

Re: Form Wizard Pro Variables

Hi Mark,

As far as I know, you can't do that with Form Wizard Pro.

I have a Job Board module that I am preparing to start selling that allows easy and simple administration of open jobs. It was built for mojoPortal and runs on my i7MEDIA website (http://i7media.net/job-openings). I will be selling it with the same licenses and prices that Joe sells his Pro products with.

I don't have it on a demo site where you can see the administration pages. I will get that put up today and post a link here.

Thanks,
Joe D.

Re: Form Wizard Pro Variables

Hi Mark,

I have setup a demo website at http://mojodemo.i7media.net for the i7MEDIA Job Board mojoPortal Module.

The module currently has the following features:

  • Post Job Openings with the following information:
    • Title
    • Category
    • Reference Number
    • Location
    • Job Type
    • Education and Experience Required
    • Salary
    • Start Date and Number of Openings
    • Required and Desired Skills
    • Full Job Description
    • Benefits
  • Accept Applications for Jobs
  • Allow applicant to upload resume and coverletter files
  • Job Openings can have a close date which will automatically close the job after the set date. Admin can also manually close a job regardless of the date.
  • Job Listing Views: Grid and List (with details)
  • Configurable No Open Jobs Message
  • Email Notification of submitted job applications

Immediately planned features include:

  • mojoPortal Search Integration
  • Friendly URLs

Let me know if you have any questions, comments or feature requests.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Form Wizard Pro Variables

Hi Joe, I took a look at your module today and showed it to a couple of people. It looks really nice! I'm not sure if we'll end up buying it or not. Ideally we'd like to pull the job announcement data straight from our HRMS system, but of course the trade-off is a lot of custom in-house development for a solution like that.

Just out of curiosity, are you planning to expose an RSS feed for new job listings? That's something we're doing on our current employment page (using a hidden blog for the feed). Seems like it would be a natural extension for what you're doing.

Re: Form Wizard Pro Variables

Hi Jamie,

RSS is on our list of features we are going to add to the Job Board module. Just haven't got to it yet.

Thanks,
Joe D.

Re: Form Wizard Pro Variables

That's great to hear Joe, thanks! We'll demo it to our HR folks when the RSS portion is complete.
