Different Skin for Register.aspx

Does anyone know if there is a way to specify a specific skin for the "Register.aspx" page.

I know it will use the site default skin but we need it to use something else.

Re: Different Skin for Register.aspx

There is not a way to use a different skin on the registration page.

However in the next release there will be a custom css class on the body element of every physical .aspx page so it will be possible to style any page differently with css overrides. There will also be a setting in page settings to allow you to put a custom class on the body for any CMS page (ie pages you create in the menu).

Best,

Joe

Re: Different Skin for Register.aspx

OK, thanks Joe.

I think we may end up creating custom Modules as replacements for the static pages that need customizing then (User Profile, Register and Change Password initially).

We have just finished creating the "User Profile" page as a Module and it works great. That way we can create a page using the skin we need and simply slot the module in place.

We can see that the base install comes with the "Sign In Module" already created as a feature we can use which is great.

Do you want me to send over our code for the other pages as we do them or would they not be of any use to you?

Re: Different Skin for Register.aspx

Hi Mark,

Its great if you implemented that and it meets your needs, and its great if you would like to share it with the community, we can make a download available on our community downloads page or link to a download on your site if you will be updating it over time.

Anything that goes into mojoPortal is something I will have to support for the life of the project and I'm not sure I really want to support those features as module for the cms. I built them not as module because I didn't think they should be content system plugins and I still feel the same when I ponder it today. In my thinking, security features are best when you have a very controlled exposure surface with a controlled url.

Of course not everyone has to agree with me and others probably will be glad to have those modules, so sharing them would be great, I'm just saying at this time I don't want to take on ownership of them.

Best,

Joe
