Upgrading from Previos version

Hi Joe!

When I upgrade CMS from version 2.3.4.5 to 2.3.5.5

I get empty site2 in siteroot:

http://www.ownersdirect-portugal.com/albufeira/

Same thing I have with rest of the other 3 websites inside of first www.ownersdirect-portugal.com

What I missed?

Re: Upgrading from Previos version

I'm not sure, but why did you not upgrade to version 2.3.6.2? I recommend use the latest version and see if the problem persists. You don't need to upgrade one version at a time, you can upgrade directly the latest version. Though you should read all the release notes of versions (in our blog) since your current version before you upgrade.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Upgrading from Previos version

If you get an error after upgrading post the error details and I'll try to help. Backup everything before upgrading.

Best,

Joe

Re: Upgrading from Previos version

I can see the error here:

Source Error:

Line 1062:    -->
Line 1063:  </system.webServer>
Line 1064:  <system.web.extensions>
Line 1065:    <scripting>
Line 1066:      <scriptResourceHandler enableCompression="true" enableCaching="false"/>

Source File: \\clfs\customers\webroot\o\w\owner003\primary\www\web.config    Line: 1064

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.3615; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.3614

it means you upgraded using the mojoPortal package for .NET 4 but you are running in .NET 3.5, if your hosting suports .NET 4 you should change it to .NET 4 in your hosting control panel, otherwise you should re-install using the mojoPortal package for .NET 3.5.

See the first 2 items in the FAQ

http://www.mojoportal.com/faq.aspx

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Upgrading from Previos version

I have no idea.

Are you seeing any errors in the log related to the other sites?

Are you sure the site is still configured for folder based child sites in user.config?

Do you still see the folder mappings in site settings when you edit the child sites from the parent site?

Re: Upgrading from Previos version

I think the problems you are having are related to your host. It seems like they are using proxy servers. When I ping www.ownersdirect-portuagla.com, it resolves to the ip address 216.239.136.181 but the response comes from a different ip address 216.239.131.9. So I think they are port forwarding traffic instead of letting traffic come directly to your site and this may be a factor in the problems you are having. Though if it works with an older version of mojoPortal I have no idea why it would not work with the latest version.

Best,

Joe

Re: Upgrading from Previos version

Hi Hennadiy,

Thanks for the skins, they are very nice!

If you would like to contribute those skins to the project, I will be happy to include them in the extra-skins.zip that we ship with each release of mojoPortal.

Best,

Joe
