Unclickable menu item - Artisteer

Hi Joe, just a quick question: Are the "unclickable" menu items supposed to be working with Artisteer-based skins, or are those one of the menu types it doesn't work with? Our web designer has been trying to use this capability, but it doesn't look like it's rendering the "unclickable" css class in the Artisteer "horizontal menu only" skins. She tried with both one of our own 3.0 skins, and a delivered 2.5 skin.

Thanks,

Jamie

Re: Unclickable menu item - Artisteer

Hi Jamie,

It should work for Artisteer menus if not using TreeView. But it also requires setting EnableNonClickablePageLinks="true" on the StyleSheetCombiner control in layout.master.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Unclickable menu item - Artisteer

Thanks, Joe. I think this is probably a bug, then. Our webmaster went to demo.mojoportal.com and set it to use artisteer-30headermenu (in the repository it has EnableNonClickablePageLinks="true", so I assume this is the same on the demo site). She created a Test page at the root level with a couple of pages under it, and marked the test page as unclickable, but it can still be clicked.

The test may still be out there by the time you get this.

Thanks,

Jamie

Re: Unclickable menu item - Artisteer

Hi Jamie,

You were right. When I was doing the work to support Artisteer 3, I did some clean up in the menu adapter for Artisteer to remove un-needed standard ASP.NET menu css classes since they are not used by Artisteer in order to reduce the markup a little. Apparently while doing that I also disabled the unclickable css class.

It is fixed now in the repository, so it will be fixed in the next release.

Best,

Joe

The new release of mojoPortal 2.3.6.4 will be available in just a little while. I'm uploading packages and working on the release notes now.

Best,

Joe
