Module view permissions?

Module view permissions?

I would like to have a blog module on the home page that only authenticated users can see. I also need to have an HTML module on the home page that unauthenticated users can see. Any plans to support view permissions on a per module basis?

This request has come up before. It will add a lot of complexity to switch view permission to module level instead of page level both in terms of managing permissions and managing the search index.

I'm not saying I will never do this but unless I get a paying customer wanting it I won't be working on that any time soon.
