Microsoft.Web.Preview

Hi There....

i know there's been a few discussion of this issue already, but i've been through all of them and can't get this sorted out, so sorry about the repeat...

i'm installing MP on a server under medium trust (at JodoHost) and i can't get past this

"Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.Preview, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

i'm using MP version 2.3.5.5 and have configured the server to use .net 4.0 ... i've done everything i'm supposed to in the instructions too... also, i've set up MP quite a few times on jodohost and i've never had this problem before

any suggestions are much much appreciated!

Re: Microsoft.Web.Preview

Hi Again...

just an update...

i re-uploaded all the dll's in the bin directory and the error has changed

"Could not load file or assembly 'mojoPortal.Web' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (web.config line 866)"

the only possible thing that comes to mind is that i am running the setup page using an "instant access" domain name (rather than the actual domain name... long story, i have no choice for now though) ... i have done this in the past and it has worked fine though...

any ideas would really save me from going insane ;)

Re: Microsoft.Web.Preview

Is it a public url?

Is it installed in the root of the web site or a virtual directory with something else installed in the root?

Did you use the package mojoportal-2-3-5-5-mssql-net40-deploymentfiles.zip? or did you install the 3.5 version of mojoPortal under  .NET 4?

Are you sure there were no transfer errors when ftping the files?

Was this a clean install or moving a site from your local machine or from another installation?

i wasn't sure, but then (to double check) i got the hosting company to unzip and copy the files for me... and the problem remains

> Was this a clean install or moving a site from your local machine or from another installation?

Re: Microsoft.Web.Preview

thanks for your help joe, but i'm going to move to another server that knows how to host MP ... jodo isn't as helpful or efficient as they used to be
