support of replica 2 or more database in mojo

Hi,

If you gave support in the future would be nice if mojoportal replica. ( Support of replica more database in mojo )

For example ;

I m using MojoPortal with MsSQL. I have got 3 site. I m using 1 MsSQL Database for 2 site. Because i want same site member. If had support of replica in mojoportal so then i could use the database for each site separately. The user who is a member of my site, other my sites would have been a member. Or created a page on the site, also copied to other sites if desired. etc...

Best,

Re: support of replica 2 or more database in mojo

Hi Volkan,

You can make both sites use the same users by configuring related sites mode:

http://www.mojoportal.com/muliplesites.aspx

However, if users already registered in the second site it will be a problem to change it, it is better to do this when a site is first created.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Hi,

I tried before and did not work and you said earlier does not support

"Re: DB Replica
Hi Volkan,

No, there is nothing in mojoPortal for synchronizing or sharing data between 2 sites or 2 databases.

You would have to copy paste it from one site to another.

Best,

Joe"

So ok i try again this night. Thankyou.

Best,

Volkan

Re: support of replica 2 or more database in mojo

It is true there is no content sharing between sites, but with related sites mode there is sharing of users and roles across sites.

I have no solution for you to share content across sites.

Database replication is a feature of  some database platforms but is not designed for sharing data across web sites but is more for scaling and reporting of data across servers and data warehouse applications.

Best,

Joe
