Installation for .NET 3.5 doesn't create first website, .NET 4.0 version does

Hi all,

It's been a while since I took a look at this CMS project. It has grown a lot since than.

I'm experiencing some problems when installing it however. When I run the solution targeted to framework 4.0, everything works fine. My hosting provider only supports .NET 3.5, so I re-did the installation (clean db, downloaded 3.5 solution etc). Where as the first installation created a startup website (id=1), the solution for f/w 3.5 stops after running several core scripts. No site is created. When the project is re-loaded, the setup screen appears again with the message "0 site(s) found".

What I did next: I restarted the 4.0 solution, to create an empty website. Then I restarted the 3.5 solution. It works, except that I have a website withapparently no themes. I'm also very unsure, that the database scheme and other parts are both 4.0 and 3.5 compatible. Any thoughts?

I fixex the empty theme problem, I manually copied data\skins to data\sites\1\skins. The main problems still exist however.

1/ why does the .NET 3.5 version not make a new site during setup

2/ is it ok to use the .NET 4.0 version to do the setup, and use the .NET 3.5 solution to access the previously created database

Sorry but I cannot replicate the problem, it creates the site correctly when I test it.

Best to try again with a clean installation using the latest release

Hope it helps,
