Re: classifieds site using mojoportal

This will be a classified site for a community to post ads about their stuff.  Something like craigslist but may be very simple to begin with.

Re: classifieds site using mojoportal

Thanks Joe, Team effort with Kamran and another developer sharoon...

Still have a long way to go with the network but is coming together.

4 different user accounts each with their own admin and profile page

4 seperate user packages pages

Pictures and Video getting sent to encoding.com then uploaded to rackspace cloud file containers for distribution..

One word

"""HEADACHE"""

Regards

Greg

Ps. If you know of a video editing module that will allow users to edit a video via their account and select background music from a list

Please ping me....Or its another module that we will need to develop crying

Also need a picture editor with a diming feature so users can crop and dimm their pictures.. (strange request but I heard from so many people that they wished they could dimm pictures) weird...

Re: classifieds site using mojoportal

Nice work Greg !!!

Just curious:

-  the 4 account types are just "different roles" on mojo that you assign after the user is registered or you did some custom user logic?

- you did some research on S3 before choosing RackCloud (for CDN) ? (I'm considering it for CDN)

- It's a very nice looking login.aspx you have. Did you overwrite login.aspx or did that only with css?

PS: took me some time to find the source of the "music" when visiting your page. It felt a little  "invasive" ..... auto-starting and all ... but .. maybe its just the good old cranky me  :)

PS2: clicked some times on your logo trying to get back to home without success ... here I go all cranky again !!! Just a suggestion :)

And ... congratulations again .. nice job on the interface I would never tell it's mojo ..

Re: classifieds site using mojoportal

Hi,

Im not 100% sure if kamran setup the accounts and login details. I will have to ask him to comment on that one.

As for RS cloud..I didnt even look at S3 as I am in Australia and I needed a CDN hop here in Australia.

As it turns out RS cloud files uses the Limelight networks CDN so there is a distribution hop in sydney.

The video at the homepage is only for testing and wont be auto start...the website is still in development atm so theres a lot more little things and design that needs to be sorted. The design isnt looking that hot at the moment but will be tightening it shortly..

Regards

Greg
