How to get started?

Hi all there,

I'm new to Mojo. i've installed and tested and i am very happy

bought the form wizard module and again perfect.

In the past we've developped a lot of modules on DNN, now we want to port some to mojo

We normally develop in vb.net but a year ago we also started in c#.

Despite all the information i need clear guidance how to setup a development environment to start building our first module (data driven)

i've downloaded the zip with the sourcecode however visual studio 2008 can't open the project. Changed the headers and still not all is loading.

after modifying manually the vs version i receive error about targetframework 4.0 issues in the web.config

can someone please help with setting up a dev environment (lean and mean) on Vista with IIS and MS SQL server.

after we''ve ported our modules from dnn to mojo we will donate them to the community

looking forwar to get a fast response

Re: How to get started?

If you downloaded the latest source code from Codeplex, you should read the READMEVisualStudio.txt in the root folder.

You can no longer use VS 2008 with mojoportal source code, it requires VS 2010 or the free Visual Web Developer Express 2010

There is a lot of developer documenation and also a good series of videos to help you get up to speed.

Hope that helps,

Steve
