3, I will consider how to do this hopefully sometime in the next few weeks, if I can think of an easy way to do it I will. Its not a high priority to me. The only reason I used the friendly url mechanism there is because some of the feed bookmarking services don't do well with query string params and friendly url was an easy way to mask query string params. I didn't really do it with the intent of making pretty urls for rss feeds.
