Generic gridview module

I'm thinking that a generic gridview module can be useful for quick tables like inventory, lists of something, address books, and so on.

Maybe it's not easy to implement?

No, it isn't easy to implement, if I implement something like that it will be a paid add on feature similar in some ways to form wizard pro except for the presentation of the data and the different data types that might be supported.

Best,

Joe

Re: Generic gridview module

Sorry, a while after i posted, I realized that it's not so easy: how to decide how many columns? And where to save the info? Not so trivial as I thought in the beginning

Re: Generic gridview module

Yes, much like form wizard, the data would be stored in rows not one column per field since the fields are arbitrary user choices, we would not be adding real columns to a database table corresponding to user column choices, but we would present it in the UI as if the data was stored in a table with those columns.
