server error has occurred

Hi...

Newbie question here I'm sure, but can't seem to figure this one out.

I've got a folder from my original site at www.mydomain.com/secure with the default.aspx page being my order form.

When someone tries to order and clicks through to the link I get the error below..

We're sorry but a server error has occurred while trying to process your request.

The error has been logged and will be reviewed by our staff as soon as possible. It is possible that the error was just a momentary hiccup and you may wish to use the back button and try again or go back to the home page.

I'm not sure what configuration settings to change or where they might be in order to allow the user to use my order form without MP throwing the error.

Any ideas please?

Thank a bunch,

Jason

Re: server error has occurred

Hi Jason,

Many thanks for the beers! Much appreciated.

The first thing is to find out what the error is, I have some notes here about how to do that:

http://www.mojoportal.com/basic-troubleshooting.aspx

But, I can say I think it is probably a conflict between the mojoPortal Web.config file in the root vs whatever application is running in the /secure folder. These can usually be mitigated as described in the article linked here:

http://www.mojoportal.com/developer-faq.aspx

However, mojoPortal also has files in the /Secure folder and it may not be possible to resolve all issues in this case, I'm just not sure, depends what the conflicts are.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: server error has occurred

Hi Joe,

I wish I could buy you some more beers, but uncle sam just took his cut. sad

Thanks for the links... I figured it out. There was some custom data I had in my old webconfig file that I didn't copy over to mp. But it's all good now.

Thanks again for all your help.

Jason
